Purpose and scope
EGU is a professional services firm. Our environmental footprint is small, and much of what shapes it — power, waste, lighting and air conditioning — is determined at building level rather than by our own operations. This policy applies across all EGU divisions and covers what we control.
We comply with all relevant Australian environmental legislation, regulations and local requirements.
Records
The practice operates on electronic records. Client correspondence, working papers and lodgements are digital, and have been for some years.
Equipment
We replace hardware when it stops being fit for the work, not on a fixed cycle.
Travel
We meet clients in person where that matters to the work, and remotely where it does not.
What this policy does not claim
We do not measure our emissions, hold environmental certification, or purchase offsets. We make no commitments about office consumables. A policy that promises what a firm cannot verify is worth less than one that does not.
Review
This policy is reviewed periodically to ensure it remains appropriate to the nature and scale of EGU's operations.
